Email Friend Contact Author (iRealtyWire.Org) – People considering buying property in Spain might be pleased to learn that the Tower of Hercules has been added to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation's (Unesco's) World Heritage Committee.
After a nine-day closed-door meeting, 13 new sites were put onto the World Heritage list. The latest Spanish addition might be welcomed by property owners in the country looking to rent out their homes to holidaymakers as it could raise Spain's profile among tourists. Spain's Tower of Hercules is already a national monument of Spain and is the second tallest lighthouse in the country. The 180-ft construction is almost 1,900 years old but still fulfils the function that the Romans built it for. As well as cultural attractions, those who buy property in Spain will be able to enjoy ample leisure activities, such as the numerous golf courses found on the Costa Brava. # # #
